[00:00:00] Hello once again and welcome back to movie deputy podcast, where we are bringing you the good, the bad, and the ugly of movies that are out there. And I review the best of the best, the worst of the worst, and everything in between. And the one we're going to be talking about today is going to be on that spectrum. And now I'm not referring to the autism spectrum. This is just one on the score spectrum that really is just. I'm going to use the term just full on raunchy. If you are a member of the LGBTQ plus community, LGBTQ Elementalp, I mean, however you want to put it, you are probably going to enjoy this much more than someone who is a connoisseur of the marketing of entertainment that is fit for everyday families, because this definitely is not that. Now, if you caught my upcoming movies show a while back, I don't remember which one this was even on, but I talked about the musical Dix, the musical that was coming out, and I laughed because the trailer had me just. [00:01:20] It was so absurd and so over the top. I was actually looking really forward to this because I knew it was going to be over the top and I knew it was going to be offensive, and I knew all of that going into this, and it still just went holy wow. [00:01:38] Now, I take notes throughout the movie, so if you scroll down, you will see in the notes that there are some profanities in the notes. They are direct quotes from the movie. And there are many things addressed in this movie that are just not appropriate for any age now. I mean that quite literally. Not only is this guilty, this is one of the. [00:02:04] Okay, I'm thinking of all the crap that I've reviewed over the years. I reviewed a lot of really horrible things, and this is right up there. Now you might think I'm probably going to get some hate just because of that whole community and that whole thing. This movie is intended to be as absurd and offensive as it is. This is intentional. Now, why is it this intentional? [00:02:31] I could literally go down the rabbit hole with the many reasons of why this was done the way that it was, and I still couldn't come up with a good enough reason for it. It's basically a really twisted version of the parent trap. You got two boys separated at birth, one raised by one parent, one raised by the other parent. Sounds familiar. And they are both as queer as a $3 bill. That is literally a quote from the movie, so I do not feel bad using that. [00:03:05] They're both salespeople. They're trying to be the salesperson, both of the companies that they work for, they merge and they end up coming face to face. They're like, oh, we look alike. Yes, we look alike. Then they realize they're twins and that just goes down a rabbit hole. And you're thinking, okay, it can't get any weirder than that. Well, then their parents are just. [00:03:28] There's not even a way to describe their parents. One is raising sewer boys, one is in complete denial of reality. And there are many inappropriate nude stuff that would be borderline x. I mean, this movie is rated r. And honestly, it should be closer to the x category on just. It's on HBO Max. If you have HBO Max, or I guess now it's just called Max, but it's on there. I'm so glad I did not have to pay to see this because I'm just blown away. [00:04:12] It's just out. Alpha the alpha out. Fox. The fox. The next line in that is, I can't, even if I say the line on here, my show is going to get pulled. So I'm not going to say that. But if you have any part of decency at all in anything that you watch, now, mind you, I'm not offended by stuff that's offensive. I thought sausage party was hilarious. I get a kick out of stuff like that. I even gave sausage party a six and a quarter out of ten on the deputy scale. If you've never seen sausage party and you like, really offensive, just off the wall, over the top, just comedy, that is just wrong, you'll enjoy that. [00:04:54] You take that same thing and apply it to this. And this goes so far over, it's just almost grotesque in this presentation of it. [00:05:09] One of their biggest things in this movie, and it's something that we hear a lot in society today, is that all love is love. And they go so far as to blasphemy with the Lord's name in vain, with things like that. They do things with other things and other people of different ages, I will let you insinuate, but the way that this is done, it both leaves nothing to the imagination, and it stretches the imagination as far as it goes, and it takes everything that a decent person would find offensive and makes it into something funny. And just when you think the movie can't get any worse or the musical can't get any worse, the twin brothers get involved intimately. [00:06:05] These are supposed to be twin brothers. And it's taking everything in the. Okay. I know a lot of people in the gay community and in different trans or whatever call it community. [00:06:17] And there are people that just live normal, everyday lives like you, me and everybody else. That's all they want to do is be treated as equals. And I have no problem with that. Where I draw the line is where they put stuff like this and they expect this to be acceptable forms of modern entertainment. [00:06:37] For what audience? I don't know. I don't even know who this is even aimed at. I don't know what the target audience is because I cannot even imagine an audience that would find this acceptable, that would find this funny, that would find this. Just like I said, I myself was excited when I saw the trailer. I was looking forward to this. [00:07:03] And then I saw this and I was just like, this is literally one of the worst things that I have ever seen. I reviewed over 2000 movies in the last ten years and I've watched way more than that before I ever even started movie deputy. And this just totally just went there. It went there and it did not even bother coming back, if you can't tell already. Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty. I mean, just grotesquely guilty. [00:07:39] But you're probably wondering if the score I gave it. Now this should come as absolutely no surprise to you that I did give this a one out of ten on the deputy scale. Now, I have only ever given that score to a couple of movies, and one other one was a documentary, but there have only been a handful. And this one is right in that category. I cannot advise, and will not advise that anybody even watch this. If you are completely a member of, you want to just see how depraved and just how. [00:08:20] I'm struggling to find the words without being, I mean, without having there be expletives that I have to bleep out. But like I said, if you have anything in you that is decent, this is not going to be a film for you. So I hope that this has helped a little bit. If you completely disagree and you love this movie, all I can say is I'm sorry for you. Just literally, it's like, I cannot even fathom that. But to each their own. But like I said, this is one of those ones that, I hate to say I judge people right up front, but this is one of those ones. If I had a total stranger come up to me and say, oh my word, did you see that? It's amazing. [00:09:03] Guaranteed. I'm judging you whether I admit it or not. It's like my brain. I'm going, oh, no, run. Run fast, run fast. The other direction. Get the bleep out of here. Just no, this movie. That's a good way to put it. It's just. No. So I hope I have saved your eyes from 1 hour and 40 something minutes of filth that was this musical that just. [00:09:34] No know. [00:09:36] So I will be back on Friday to talk about something much happier. So until then, just remember I. Like I said, I review them all, the good, the bad and the ugly. And I can't wait to talk to you again soon. Bye.
