Speaker 0 00:00:00 Hello everybody and welcome back. I am excited to bring you the second movie and the Guardians of the Galaxy Series, or at least the second review of The Guardians of the Galaxy, uh, volume two movie. As you're coming along with me on this journey, I'm getting better at just kind of carrying over the reviews from the website and turning them into the podcast format. It almost feels a little weird even though it's still my own words. I mean, I wrote all these things but reading them off and transferring around into the podcast, it's, I mean it's a little unusual, but I'm getting more used to it. As time is going on slowly, I'm sure I'll get better and I appreciate the fact that you're coming along this journey with me. As always, I like to remind you to please like and subscribe because this is going to be an adventure and I want us to do this together. Speaker 0 00:00:48 I wanna help you maybe try to find movies that you're not familiar with or that you are familiar with and you just want a little bit more information or you like the fact of like where my stance is on things. Cuz as I've said it before, I'll say it again, I am a constitutional conservative and there's not a lot of movie critics out there that kind of bring that perspective and call stuff out for being woke or in your face or just all of this other crap that's out there today. And in this one it's like you're not gonna hear me mention a whole lot of that, but it's important that I bring that up because surprisingly in Guardians at the Galaxy Three it kinda doesn't, it doesn't go full bulk or anything like that, but it, some of the subjects, I just want people to be prepared that there is going to be some content in the next one that is going to be concerning still. Speaker 0 00:01:36 Volume two, it touches on some things that it's gonna be a touchy subject for some viewers, but for others not so much. It's more of instead of like the whole story being about the whole team, kind of like the first one was this one's more focused on Star-Lord and his family. It's like we still see things going on with the other characters, but this one is more towards star-Lord finding some information about himself and his past and how that's going to shape his future and the future of the team. But before I go into too many more details on that, I wanna read you the original review. Like I said, this review is currently on movie deputy.com. Once it switches to the podcast format, which is what this program is, these reviews will eventually disappear off movie deputy.com As we are switching to a podcast only format. Speaker 0 00:02:29 I am both nervous and excited to do this, but <laugh>, like I said, it's gonna be an adventure. The review that I did for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume two is the star-Lord has gone through many things in his life. One thing has remained constant. His search for a missing piece of himself, this adventure delivers on just that and more. The guardians of the galaxy do all that they can to help others and help themselves in the process. A few speed bumps along the way create some issues for the guardians. When Peter the star-Lord finds something from his past, it will not only put his future at risk, but it will put all of the guardians at risk as well. Will they stand beside him or will this push them to the breaking point? Those questions simple, but the details of each of their endeavors will take the story in multiple directions. Speaker 0 00:03:23 Even so, there are pieces that still tie it all together. This is quite a bit different from volume one and even so it delivers on the laughs throughout the one-liners. The sarcasm, the high jks of this ragtag crew will keep you entertained, mix in a bit of heart along the way and you get a story that leaves you entertained and wanting more. At the same time, make sure and stay through the credits as there are five bonus scenes to entice you even further. This one may not be for everyone, but for those who enjoyed volume one as well as Sci-fi fans will, they will find much to enjoy come along for the ride and be prepared to expect the unexpected. Now like I said, it's a bit different from volume one and kind of just the whole, how the whole thing plays out because it is not necessarily a unified theory, whereas like the first one pretty much it would be entertaining for anybody to watch. Speaker 0 00:04:19 This one was like, you really need to begin to sci-fi and the whole Marvel cinematic universe to really understand a lot of the references that come along in this. So on this one I did give it a 6.25 out of 10 on the deputy scale. And again, I gave it a rating of innocent on the whole innocent versus guilty rating, which means safe for 12 and below, below, no, again, there is some language in this one, but it's, I don't know if it's enough to necessarily give it a guilty rating on that so much it is rated PG 13, but I, I sometimes think that that rating isn't necessarily the most accurate. I mean I've seen movies that are pg that should have been R and I've seen R movies that should have been pg. So I don't necessarily trust the M P A ratings scale. Speaker 0 00:05:06 I mean no offense to the people that do and the people that wanna follow it, this is just my opinion on it. But yeah, this one is just like I said, you've really gotta be into the whole sci-fi part of it. So if you're had your hopes like really up high off the first one and you're hoping to kind of have that same, oh, everybody will love this type thing with the second one, maybe not so much, but there is a lot in this one to get you excited and I just can't wait to bring you more information about like where the stories are going from here. Like I mentioned, the five bonus scenes that are in the credits, they really kind of hint to not only where volume three will be, but even beyond that. So I'm really kind of excited to see what Marble's going to do with this one and where they go from there. Speaker 1 00:05:56 But again, I want to thank you for coming along with me on this journey. Again, please like and subscribe for the latest and greatest movie de conduct. Sorry I'm in a goofy mood today, but I wanted to bring this to you and I hope you enjoyed it. And until next time, bye.
